What is MPTAAS and Why is it Important?

Eligibility Criteria

Madhya Pradesh Govt sets the eligibility criteria to filter out the relevant requirements for students to avail the Scholarship. That is based on the given factor:

Students must be residents of Madhya Pradesh or have a Domicile of the MP State.
Students must belong to SC/ST or OBC Categories.
It is only for Post-matric students, the Pre-matric students can’t avail this scholarship.
For SC/ST students, the annual family income must be less than ₹2,50,000 & for OBC students, their annual family income must be less than ₹1,50,000.
The student should not already be availing any other scholarship
The parents should not be Govt employees.
Students’ Aadhaar numbers should be linked with their bank accounts.

How to Register on the MPTAAS Portal

Before applying for the scholarship, you need to create a profile on the MP TAAS portal.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Firstly, open Chrome and enter this URL: https://www.tribal.mp.gov.in/mptaas.

Open New Profile Registration

On the login page, scroll down and click “New Beneficiary Profile Registration.” An instruction form will appear. Read it carefully, tick the checkbox, and click “Next.”

Enter Your Samagra ID & Verify OTP

Enter your Samagra ID and click “Send OTP.” You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP in the input box and click “Verify OTP.”

Review Your Auto-Filled Details

After verification, your personal details like name, date of birth, caste, photo, parents’ names, will automatically appear. If any detail is missing or incorrect, fill or edit it manually. Scroll down, tick the checkbox, and click “Save & Preview.”

Create Your Profile

Preview your details carefully. Tick the confirmation box and click “Create Profile.” Your Profile ID will be generated. Copy it or take a printout for future use.

How to Apply for MPTAAS Scholarship

Once your profile is created, you can apply for the scholarship.

Login to the Portal

Click on Login on the homepage. Enter your Profile ID and Password (received via SMS). Enter the captcha code and click Login.

Open PMS Section

On the left sidebar, click PMS (Post Matric Scholarship). Select Application Apply.

Fill Application Details

Select Admission Year, Application Type, and Course Year → click Go for Apply.

Fill in the these details: State, District, Institute, Admission Date, Admission ID → click Get Admission Detail.

Verify Income Certificate ID and Date. After filling in the details, click Save & Next.

Preview & Submit Application

Preview all your details carefully. Tick the confirmation checkbox and click Submit.

Print Your Application

After submission, you will be redirected to the Application Status page. Click Print and download the document for your records.

MPTAAS Scholarship Amount

MPTAAS Scholarship offers financial assistance to SC/ST or OBC students, whether they are Day Scholars or Hostellers. The amount of hostellers & Day scholars is different due to their different expenses.

How is Scholarship Money Transferred?

The Scholarship Amount is a Direct Bank Transfer (DBT); you just attached the accurate bank details. The date and time of scholarship disbursement are updated on the Portal.

eKYC for MPTAAS

To receive a scholarship fund, it is mandatory to complete the e-KYC after Registration. You will need to verify the Aadhaar details for completion of the process. This process can be done by 2 methods on the Portal, the first one is OTP (one-time password), and the other is Biometric.

Steps For e-KYC

The main purpose of e-KYC is to link your mobile number with your Aadhaar Card. In this way, you will get updates through SMS notification. The process of eKYC is given below:

Visit the MPTAAS Portal 2.0
Enter your Registration number or Application ID.
Re-enter it for Confirmation.
Add your Date of Birth (DOB).
Enter the Captcha code.
Click on the Verify details button to submit your request.

Last Date

MPTAAS Scholarship last date is expected January 2026, but it is not confirmed because the official site has not announced. This date is an analysis of the previous year’s last date.

MPTAAS Renewal Process

When the one year of previous scholarship is completed, you need to renew your scholarship status to get the financial aid for the current year. The step by step process of application renewal is given below:

Log In to the Official MPTAAS Portal

Visit the official site and login through ID and Password.

Access the PMS Portal Dashboard

On the left side bar, click on PMS and select the “Application Apply” option.

Initiate the Renewal Application

Select the admission year, course year, and select “Renewal” in Application Type and click on the “Go to Apply” button. If it shows an error in proceeding, then go to your college and update your previous year’s result. Normally, the screen shows the “Success” message, which means you can proceed the process.

Verify Pre-Filled Data & Activate Renewal

A new page opens with all the previous details you entered last year. Review all the details and double-check the information, it must be correct. Then click on the “Apply Renewal” option.

Update Information and Final Submission

Verify all information should be corrected and click on the “Submit” button. A pop-up will appear on the screen that asks for confirmation of Scholarship renewal. You just click on the “Exit” button to complete the renewal process.

How to Recover MPTAAS User ID & Password?

If you have forgotten your password after MPTAAS Registration, then follow the given steps to recover your User ID and Password:

Recover Password

For Password recovery, you simply follow this method:

Step 1: Firstly, go to the MPTAAS official site and select the “Check MPTAAS Scholarship” option.
Step 2: The next page will appear, click on the “Forget Password” option.
Step 3: Then, enter the User ID or Profile ID and press the “Next” button.
Step 4: Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the password.

Recover User ID

For User ID recovery, follow the given method:

Step 1: Open the Login page and click on the “Forgot User ID?” option.
Step 2: A new window will appear, allowing you to choose one of the suitable options. There are multiple options, which include using Profile ID, Registered Mobile number, or the combination of Samagra ID and Caste Certificate.

Step 4: After giving the required details, follow the steps shown to get back your User ID.
